How to Add a New Department

To create a new department:

  • Navigate to HRM > Department from the left-hand sidebar.
  • Click the green + Add new department button.
  • Enter the Department Name (e.g., “Marketing Department”).
  • Select whether to Show or Hide the department.
  • Click Save to create the department.

Once saved, the department will appear in the list with:

  • Status (e.g., Active)
  • Action buttons to Edit or Delete the department

Organizing your employees into departments provides several benefits: 

  • Easier tracking of departmental headcount and structure
  • Simplified employee filtering for reporting and salary calculations
  • Better assignment of roles, responsibilities, and permissions
